The Burning Bush is a website for those who are interested in art relating to the tarot deck, the Kabbalah, God and all things spiritual. The artwork for sale in this site represents the work undertaken over the past ten years by the artist Kahiya Chim. The paintings on view correlate to the tarot deck and are my version of the tarot based on the mystical works of Moses through to King Solomon. The pictures are talismans and can be used for specific purposes, like invoking the archangels, angels or spirits who are of the nature of that specific card. Alternatively, each work can be used as a gateway to another place, realm, dimension, or space.

There will be 72 paintings in the present series representing the 72 manifestations of God. Each work relates to a holy name of God, a sephiroth, a holy order, an archangel and angel, and correlates to a planet, place or sphere. The holy names of the divine and the holy angelic orders are written in either Hebrew, the alphabet of the Magi, the characters of Celestial Writing, Malachim, the writing of the angels, or the writing known as 'Passing the river'.

Each painting also has a verse which is either from a psalm or text from the Old or New Testament, usually written in Latin. All prayers, meditations, invocations, ceremonies and rituals, including the purification and fortification of each work with incense (usually frankincense or myrrh) is undertaken over many hours with the utmost discipline, love and regard for the divine.
